Africa House Pakistan Highlights New Avenues for Collaboration and Investment

Islamabad / Kigali, November 6, 2025:
Africa House Pakistan, in collaboration with the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) and the High Commission of Rwanda in Pakistan, participated in a Virtual Rwanda–Pakistan Business Forum aimed at deepening trade and investment ties between the two countries.

The forum was attended by key dignitaries, including:

  • H.E. Harerimana Fatou, Rwanda’s High Commissioner to Pakistan

  • H.E. Mr. Naeem Khan, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Rwanda

  • H.E. Mr. Francis Gatare, CEO, Rwanda Development Board (RDB)

  • H.E. Mr. Rehan Younas, Founder & Chairman, Africa House Pakistan

During the session, High Commissioner H.E. Harerimana Fatou reaffirmed Rwanda’s commitment to supporting private-sector ventures and welcomed Pakistan’s growing interest in Africa’s emerging markets. She emphasized that “Rwanda serves as a gateway to East Africa, while Pakistan stands as a vibrant market economy in South Asia — together, we can unlock meaningful business opportunities.”

Representatives from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Rwanda’s Private Sector Federation (PSF), RDB, and Pakistan’s Trade Development Authority (TDAP) shared insights on expanding trade cooperation.

H.E. Mr. Rehan Younas, Chairman of Africa House Pakistan, highlighted Africa House Pakistan’s role as a trade bridge between Pakistan and African markets, emphasizing the organization’s ongoing efforts to establish its regional office and warehouse in Rwanda. He noted that this step will enable Pakistani exporters to better serve African markets through localized distribution and B2B facilitation.

He added, “Africa House Pakistan is committed to building a sustainable trade ecosystem. Rwanda’s investor-friendly environment aligns perfectly with our mission to create a structured platform for exporters, investors, and business leaders.”

During the discussion, TDAP Director General Abdul Karim announced Pakistan’s plan to organize a dedicated trade exhibition in Rwanda to showcase Pakistani products and services. The proposal received strong support from both sides as a significant step toward enhancing market access and strengthening bilateral trade frameworks.

Participants agreed to further develop institutional linkages, reduce trade barriers, and explore partnerships in agriculture, logistics, manufacturing, renewable energy, IT, and tourism sectors.

The session concluded with a mutual commitment to maintain continued engagement through joint trade events, exhibitions, and private-sector cooperation, reinforcing the spirit of South–South collaboration between Pakistan and Rwanda.
